You’ve dreamed it. Now, it’s time to make it happen. Contact us so that we can work as a team to draft your heavy timber frame dreams, determine a budget, produce drawings and renderings, and complete all the steps needed to get your project on its way. You’ll know exactly what your completed heavy timber frame project will look like before we get started, so there are never any surprises! Here’s how our project planning works…

1. Initial Consultation

This pre-design meeting can take place over the phone, in our office, or via email. We’ll make time to cover all of your needs and wants that we have a full understanding of what you’re looking for in your timber frame project. After this meeting, we’ll provide a basic sketch to you along with a written estimate.

2. Design Consultation/ Presentation

After we have determined the scope of your project, we’ll begin the design process. During this time, we’ll ask you more detailed questions about your wish list, ideas, your timeline, etc. so that our talented and experienced designers can deliver detailed drawings and 3-D renderings to show you what your completed project will look like before it comes to life. Once received, you may review these drawings and make any adjustments needed. Final drawings will be issued after this step to include floor plans, elevations, window schedule, foundation plan, and timber frame drawing.

3. Timber Frame Production

This is where it gets real. The heavy timber frame production happens behind-the-scenes. Based on your plans, we’ll create a custom cut list and send a logger into the woods to hand-select and cut down the trees we’ll need delivered for your project. Our project manager will ensure everything we need is ordered and delivered, keeping your project running smoothly and on time. Once we receive your timbers, our highly-trained craftsmen will hand cut your timbers and get them ready to load on the trucks to be delivered to your site. Your dreams and vision are kept in mind the entire time, truly making the project a reflection of who you are. When we leave our shop and head to your site, everything is ready to go.

4. Timber Frame Assembly and Erection

This is the exciting part! Planning and production are complete, and we are ready to raise your beautiful, hand-crafted timber frame. The same crew who cut and prepared your frame behind-the-scenes will now travel to your job site to assemble your frame. Our crew works long hours, seven days a week to get your timber frame erected in timely manner, without cutting any corners. We truly take pride in our work and share your joy as your dream becomes a beautiful reality.
